  • The fire assay sample melting furnace is widely used in the experiments and production of such fields as electronics, ceramics, metallurgy, glass, and new material development. It is mainly applied to heating and melting samples in fire assay.

    Heating rate

    The heating rate can be freely adjusted, and the adjustment range is: the fastest is 20℃ per minute. It is recommended to set the heating rate at 5-10℃ per minute.

    Heating element

    Silicon carbide heating elements are adopted. The maximum surface temperature of the elements is 1600°C. They are used at high temperatures in an oxidizing atmosphere and possess unique high-temperature oxidation resistance.

    Furnace structure

    The electric furnace body adopts an advanced furnace body structure. The effective wind guiding partition plate enables the overall air circulation of the furnace shell. Finally, the air cools the conductive plates of the heating elements and is then discharged out of the furnace body, avoiding the high-temperature oxidation of the conductive plates of the heating elements and ensuring a good working environment.

    Warranty scope and period

    The electric furnace comes with a one-year free warranty, excluding vulnerable parts such as heating elements and thermocouples.

    Precautions:

    1. In order not to affect the service life of the electric furnace, we recommend that the maximum heating rate and cooling rate be 10°C/min. (If the heating rate is too fast, the service life of the heating element will be shortened.)

    2. This electric furnace has a vacuum-sealed structure, so flammable and explosive gases must not be introduced.

    3. After this electric furnace has been used for a period of time, tiny cracks may appear in the furnace chamber. This is a normal phenomenon and will not affect its use. At the same time, it can be repaired with an aluminum oxide coating.

    4. It is not recommended to introduce corrosive gases. If strong corrosive gases such as sulfur (S), sodium (Na), etc. need to be introduced, please inform us in advance, and we will carry out special treatment on the furnace chamber.

    5. Do not let the high-temperature solution leak onto the bottom of the furnace. To avoid this, you can use a backing plate or isolate it with aluminum oxide powder.

    6. The instrument should be placed in a well-ventilated and non-humid place.
