Assay mold is a key tool in the process of pyroassay. During the fire assay, samples such as ore and flux are first fused in the crucible at high temperature, and then the molten substance is poured into the groove of the assay mold. The shape, number and size of the grooves are designed according to the test requirements. Circular or oval grooves are conducive to uniform cooling and solidification of the sample. Multiple grooves can handle multiple samples at once, improving work efficiency.

 In the process of testing, the mold will be exposed to various chemical substances, such as metal components in the sample, flux and so on.
