Cupel Block is an advanced fire assay gold test container. It is made of various materials and has special structure, and is widely used in metallurgy and precious metal detection.

Cupel Block is a key instrument used for ash blowing in fire assay, and it is porous. Under high temperature conditions, the lead button containing precious metals is heated on the ash dish brick, the lead and other impurities will be oxidized and absorbed by the ash dish brick, so that the precious metals can be separated and enriched, convenient for the subsequent accurate determination of the precious metal content.

Features:

1. Density: Generally between 2.5-3.0g /cm³, the density is moderate, which not only ensures the structural strength of the pan brick, but also does not affect the operation too heavily.

2. Porosity: The porosity is usually 30%-45%. Suitable porosity makes the brick have good permeability and absorption, which is conducive to the absorption of impurity oxides such as lead in the process of ash blowing.

3. Thermal conductivity: The thermal conductivity is low, about 0.5-1.0W /(m · K). This feature helps retain heat during high temperature ash blowing, reducing heat loss while avoiding operator burns.
