  • HT fire assay furnace is designed for the cupellation, or fire assay test, of precious metals, which is a standard test method used to determine their purity. The cupellation furnaces meet the Hallmarking requirements specified by the Convention on the Control and Marking of Articles of Precious Metals (known also as “Precious Metals Convention”, “Hallmarking Convention” or “Vienna Convention”). The test method produces hazardous vapours. When used within a suitable fume management system, the cupel furnaces are designed to handle the vapours without exposing the operator to these hazards. The design of the cupellation furnace range ensures protection from the corrosive environment which would damage a conventional furnace. HT furnace also offers a range of smelting/melting furnaces.

    Dual shell housing made of textured stainless steel sheets with additional fan cooling for low surface temperature

    Exclusive use of insulation materials without categorization according to EC Regulation

    The heating elements can be easily replaced as one unit

    Special fresh-air and exhaust air system for the ceramic muffle. Exhaust gases are directly guided into the exhaust hood via a ceramic tube at the back of the muffle. The air exchange rate is adjustable.

    Over-temperature limiter with adjustable cutout temperature as temperature limiter to protect the oven and load
