HTVF-1700-A Hydrogen Gas Box Furnace is a large box furnace designed for material synthesis under hydrogen or inert gas atmosphere up to 1700 ºC with a chamber dimension of 400 x 400 x 400 mm. The Hydrogen furnace consists of high-quality alumina fiber bricks and three sides heated Mo-alloy coil with a vacuum-sealed steel case with a water cooling jacket and automatic H2 burning system. This Gas furnace is an ideal tool for preparing new materials that require a reduced atmosphere, such as phosphorous and Ti alloy, and also heat-treating materials under Ar gas.
Furnace Structure | Double-layer stainless steel structure for maximum vacuum and safety, which can ensure a positive pressure up to 0.06MP and vacuum up to -0.1Mpa Water cooling front door and air cooling shell Built-in pressure gauge, vacuum valves, and two gas float meters Built-in H2 burning control system --- if the controller detects no flame in the burner, the gas delivery valve will be shut down automatically |
Inside Chamber | Heated chamber: 400 x 400 x 400 mm, 65 Liter (Max) Energy-saving 1800 grade fibrous alumina insulation Sealed by stainless steel with water cooling Three sides heating (Left, right and back) to ensure the best temperature uniformity. SiC plate is installed on the bottom, which has 100kg, Max. loading |
Heating Elements | 9 sets of Mo coils heating elements are built-in and replaceable The Mo heating element is consumable. You may order spare element by click Pic. 1 below Warning: Mo heating element can not be used under air or oxygen at the temperature > 300°C The heating element can be replaced by 1900 grade MsSi2 to run the furnace under oxygen and air and Inert gases up to 1700°C , |

Warranty | One-year limited warranty with lifetime support. (Consumable parts such as sample plates and heating elements are not covered by the warranty, please order the replacement at related products below.) ATTENTION: Any damages caused by the use of corrosive and acidic gases are not under the coverage of One Year Limited Warranty. Attention: A free course of safety operation training at the MTI field is required to purchase this furnace. A customer's side training is also available upon request at extra cost. If the users believe that they have sufficient experience and knowledge to handle the furnace in the dangerous or emergent situation, a liability release agreement must be signed at the purchase. HT Corp. is not responsible for any damages caused by misuse without safety operation training. Any damages caused by the corrosive and acidic gases are not under the coverage of the One Year Limited Warranty. |
Application Notes | The pressure inside the chamber should ALWAYS be controlled at 0.01-0.02 Mpa above the standard atmospheric pressure during the entire heating process, otherwise, the oxygen in the air may backflow into the furnace chamber and cause an explosion in the worst-case scenario. ALWAYS place the furnace in a room with the fume hood and a hydrogen detector installed. Good ventilation is necessary for the room in which place the furnace Exhausting Hydrogen gas in the room is forbidden. |
